1st week

A quick update on Homeschool while Spencer's working on his Penmanship...

Already it's been such a sweet time. I know that's a strange way to describe school work, but it's the word that seems to fit perfectly. Yes, it takes a lot of my time and attention, but it's been so fun at the same time. We start out the day with Bible, which I felt like I got a great idea from the Lord on what to do during this time. Later I'll probably fill you in on what we're up to. Anyway, we have Bible, Math, Language, Penmanship, Reading, Spelling/Poetry/, History and then Science.

I'm so impressed with how smart he is. I'm sure this helps dramatically.

Our home has been filled with peace. I just have a feeling of "rightness." I feel like we're doing exactly what we're supposed to be doing in this season. In the morning I drop the girls off to Cornerstone which is a private school, Joey off to a public middle school, homeschool Spencer and have decided to keep Miles home another year as well.

There are several things that I could do to make this school year easier and cheaper, but I'm thankful that God provides your needs when you're doing what He wants you to do.

Great post. As you know, I love hearing the minutiae of your day! ; ) I've also thought about you during my day and knowing you're home doing the same thing I am makes me smile. (Becky, too)
I've never felt better about anything in my whole life. And it's not as hard as I thought it would be. I think I'll have all four home before too long, but right now it's exactly as you said - sweet.

Oh yeah, I forgot, I may be getting a computer and Internet service soon, so I can start blogging again!

I was homeschooled my fifth grade. Also my sophomore and junior year of high school.

I remember my homeschooling in the 5th grade as a wonderful time, that I got to spend with my father. And I am sure Spencer will fill the same way. (but with his mother, of course.)

such a sweet post, but your kids are pretty great so I only expected good news at the end of this first week.

thank you so much for the words of encouragement, they mean a lot to me and I know that I just have to get the hang of being stretched too thin again for a little while.

once football is over I should be able to relax and after that I only have one more semester!

have a great weekend

Brandi you are amazing and an inspiration to me. I miss you though and I'm not ok with that;-( I'm glad everything is going well and smoothly. It is amazing the peace you feel when you are doing what the Lord has called you to. Even though you feel nervous before you start but then when you just do it He covers you. I love you sooo much.
