Life Group

The first Life Group of the semester was great last night! My house was so packed and LOUD! Oh my goodness it was busy! There were people every where, kids every where, spills, toys and laughter. Hey, there were 15 kids in my house last night between the ages of 1 and 9. That’s a whole lot of kids and a whole lot of crumbs! Each of them had a blast. We just let them come in and bring their toys in the living room. If they wanted to talk to their Mom they just did it. They were free to be kids and they were all so good. It was fun seeing the kids enjoy playing with other adults.
The food was incredible. Let me tell you what my Mom had for all of us last night. She cooked: potato soup, beef and vegetable stew and chili. She made delicious corn bread and brought crackers. There was a ton of soup so she brought to go bowls with lids so people could take left overs home. (Who does that?) We had fruit pizza and David Hallford cooked home made banana pudding.
Everyone in the group seemed comfortable with everyone else. We all laughed. We had a ton of praise reports before our prayer time. The praise reports outnumbered the prayer requests. I don’t know if that’s ever happened before. Last night we got to pray for real things and we’re expecting our real God to do his stuff in those situations.
Some how, I was able to really talk to most of the people last night. I was thankful for that. Hey, my brother and his wife and their kids came. That was awesome.
So, it was a great time. This semester is full of promise. I’m expecting great things to happen in my home and in our people over the next few months.

Hey, where are you guys going to Life Group at?

We crashed the Belcher's life group last night. We were late and once we got there, I realized I forgot the bottle, so I had to run back home and get one so I feel like I missed it all, but we stayed late and hung out with the Belchers for a little while. . even got to play a little Wii!! Who knows where we'll end up next week?!?!

I go to life group at my house! (HaHa) We had life group last night too, and it was awesome! Everyone was excited to worship and almost everyone wanted prayer to hear the voice of God better. (We talked about hearing God last night.)

Our group was fantastic last night. It was like we were never on a break. We are expecting great things this semester and we know God is going to deliver them. We also had lots of prayer requests and everyone was so open, which is normally the case, but last night just seemed to go to a deeper level. Praise God!
